About the AI Talent Contract
The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) leads the charge in defining AI project requirements across the DoD. Through the AI Talent BOA, CDAO collaborates with industry leaders like Lyteworx to find qualified professionals for cutting-edge AI projects. The Lyteworx Recruitment Process

1. Sources Sought Phase:
When the CDAO identifies a potential project, it issues a “Request for Information” (RFI) that outlines the scope of the project and the types of roles required. Lyteworx then:
• Posts job openings aligned with these requirements.
• Actively seeks resumes and reaches out to potential candidates.
2. Task Order Alignment:
Next, the CDAO releases a detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS), which acts like a project RFP, specifying the need for qualified personnel. During this stage, Lyteworx works to:
• Identify the Right Fit: We match your expertise with the roles outlined in the PWS.
• Verify Security Requirements: If applicable, confirm your active security clearance status.
• Complete Background Checks: Ensure compliance with federal hiring standards.
• Gather Documentation: Secure your signed commitment letter and tailor your resume to align with the Task Order requirements.
3. Submission & Award Notification:
Lyteworx compiles and submits our response, including all candidate information, to the government. We’ll keep you informed of major milestones during this phase.
4. On-boarding & Deployment:
If the Task Order is awarded to Lyteworx, we will issue offer letters and begin the onboarding process, both with Lyteworx and the government.
